Ernests Cirulis is a 22-year-old musician who has been learning cello since the age of 7. In these 14 years, he has managed to live and learn cello not only in Latvia but also in the United Kingdom, where he fell in love with music for the first time. Now Ernests studies at Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music where his professor is Ēriks Krišfelds.

He has also participated in various competitions, such as K. Davidov's and A.Dombrovskis International competitions for cellists as well as the Havering Young Musicians competition. In the last two years, Ernests has taken part in masterclasses with Lionel Cottet, Troels Svane, Stephan Schrader, and others.

Although at the moment he focuses on improving his cello playing, it does not prevent him from being interested in a variety of areas of life as well, because he believes that people must be versatile in order to be able to look at things from different points of view.
