Understanding the basic anatomy and function of a multi-stage pump is essential to the modern firefighter!

It’s critical to help members learn HOW to think, not WHAT to think. If we only tell them to pull levers and throttle up to XXpsi than we’ve only told them WHAT to do/think. Rather… we need to help them understand HOW they should to think and view concepts - that way they become more adaptive and versatile on the fire ground.

This video lays the foundation for pumping in Volume and Pressure... but more importantly when we start to discuss topics like pumping in series to overcome height or distance.
