HA! Today, after many years of passing, I just randomly found a home-made "Metallica - For Whom The Bell Tolls" guitar/bass cover that I created all the way back in October 2013!

At said time, I purchased my very first recording interface and used this tune as a simple test. Rock Band/Guitar Hero was still the craze and, as a result, some kind YouTube fellows would somehow upload the isolated master tracks from these songs onto the platform. I then downloaded the guitar/bass/drum/vocal tracks as mp3's, pitched them all down 1/4 step (Ride The Lightning is known for being a little sharp/pitched up), analyzed each individual track note-for-note (not that it's difficult) and laid down my OWN guitar/bass tracks in place of it. I recorded everything clean DI, layered my takes with some computerized distortion plug-ins and did a very quick mix (nothing fancy/serious at all, to be honest).

Essentially, in the end, when all is said and done, it's me jamming triple-duty (James, Kirk AND Cliff) with Lars on drums and Hetfield singing! How cool would it be for THAT to come true one day? \m/
