Several members of the House of Representatives of the Philippines are seeking an ethics investigation following the controversial remarks made by Quezon City 4th District Rep. Jesus Manuel "Bong" Suntay about actress and host Anne Curtis-Smith.

Suntay made his comments during a Committee on Justice hearing on the impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte on Tuesday. The lawmaker, in what he said was an attempt to draw an analogy with Duterte's remarks about imagining cutting off President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s head, spoke of his "desires" for the actress.

Laguna 1st District Rep. Ann Matibag, chair of the Women and Gender Equality Committee, denounced what she described as lewd and inappropriate comments delivered during the proceedings and formally moved to have the matter referred to the Committee on Ethics and Privileges for investigation. — Report from Darryle Sarmiento, ABS-CBN News
