Exit Warning in Mercedes-Benz A Class (2018). Blind Spot Assist function :: [1001cars]

Blind Spot Assist in the new Mercedes-Benz A Class is now capable of warning of vehicles, including bicycles and pedestrians, in the danger area starting at low speeds of approx. 10 km/h. When the vehicle is at a standstill, it can now also issue a visual warning in the exterior mirror that a vehicle/pedestrian is driving/walking past in the critical area. If one of the occupants uses any door handle at this moment, an additional acoustic warning sounds and the red triangle in the mirror as well as the ambience lighting of the corresponding door begin to flash. The object driving past must be moving at more than 2 m/s (approx. 7 km/h). The function is available when the vehicle is stationary for up to three minutes after the ignition has been switched off.
