In this video I show you how I covered up some damaged veneer, made some new drawer slides, made a new arched trim piece, repaired damaged dovetail joints, and overall just gave this old waterfall dresser a new life. I found this dresser for free and it definitely needed a lot of work so buckle up for this long video. Whoever owned the dresser before tried to flip it but ended up giving up. They did help me out by stripping it, but they let the stripper dry all over the dresser and the damaged the veneer on all the drawers by sanding through it. The veneer damage was really bad on the top drawer. I decided to paint a border on all the drawers to cover up the sanded through veneer and painted a design on the top drawer to cover up the large veneer damage. To cover up the old hardware holes, I made my own wooden handles by following this video from Fix This Build That:    • 5 DIY Wooden Drawer Pulls | How to Make Ca...   . I added my own twist by using a carving bit in my dremel to add a simple line to just elevate the handles a little bit and give them more interest.

This dresser was definitely the biggest project I had taken on because of how many repairs it needed and it took me many many hours to finish. But I am really proud of how it turned out. It’s not perfect but it is worlds better than how it started out. I hope you enjoyed the video and learned something along the way.
