Diagnosing Cruciate Failure in Dogs - Manual Tests

Описание к видео Diagnosing Cruciate Failure in Dogs - Manual Tests

Movement Referrals are independent veterinary specialists in orthopaedic surgery and spinal neurology, based in the North West of England.

In this video, Ben demonstrates the "cranial draw" and "tibial compression" tests that are used to diagnose cruciate failure in dogs.

This video is probably most useful for vets, vet students, vet physios and nurses who would like to perfect their technique when performing these tests. Though I hope that anyone will find it useful and/ or interesting.

PLEASE NOTE: this dog was under general anaesthesia, about to have surgery to address the ligament failure. These tests can be painful when performed in a conscious dog. It is common to do so, but please be kind to you canine companions!
