What?

The Bible is the Inspired Word of God.

2 Timothy 3:14-17 (NIV2011)
14But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

“God-breathed” = “theopneustos” = “Inspired”
The Holy Spirit supernaturally influenced Scripture writers so that they wrote what God wanted written.

The Bible’s own claims

Clarification: OT vs. NT

2 Peter 3:15-16 (NIV2011)
15 Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. 16 He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
