Oak Mountain High School Band - The 2016 Halftime Show

For the 2016 Marching Season, the OMHS Spirit of Cahaba Marching Band performed "Red Sky at Night - Sailor's Delight". The show featured music from Russian Sailor's Dance, Legend of the One Eyed Sailor, and Themes from Pirates of the Caribbean. The Spirit of Cahaba participated in two marching competitions this season. On September 24, 2016 at the Sparks in the Park Marching Contest in Birmingham, AL the band earned Superior Ratings in all Captions with Best in Class 4A Drum Major and Percussion along with Best 3A/4A Band and was named the Grand Champion. The video featured here is from October 1, 2016 at the Lake Martin Invitational Marching Contest in Alexander City, AL. OMHS Band earned Superior Ratings in all Captions along with Best in Open Class Drum Major, Percussion, Color Guard, Dance Line, and Band. Additionally, from all the 26 bands at the Contest, Oak Mountain earned Best High Brass, Best Low Brass, Best Woodwinds, the Highest Marching Score, the Highest Music Score and Most Entertaining Band!
