Medical responders, police and firefighters were mobilised but there was nothing they could do to save the Brit holidaymaker and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The alarm was sounded around 3pm yesterday.
An autopsy is expected to take place today.

The incident occurred close to the Valvanera Monastery guesthouse. Despite the quick response from medical personnel, police, and firefighters, they were unable to revive him, and he was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 3 PM. An autopsy is scheduled to take place today.
Authorities have indicated that there is no evidence suggesting foul play in this unfortunate incident. The hikers were reportedly traversing a route between the Valvanera Monastery and a series of mountains known as Los Pancrudos when the tragedy occurred.
