Welcome back, community! In this series, I’m diving into one of Resident Evil 4 Remake’s most challenging battles: defeating Verdugo, the fearsome creature of the Salazar family. I’ve taken on Verdugo with every weapon in the game—including the Bolt Thrower and even just Knives—each requiring immense precision and strategy. Defeating Verdugo with the Bolt Thrower or Knife Only was an incredibly tough task, but I’m excited to share these victories with you as part of my journey.

Verdugo is truly a chilling creation of the Resident Evil universe. His appearance is haunting—a sleek, towering figure with an exoskeletal armor that makes him nearly impenetrable. His elongated limbs end in sharp claws, and his body, segmented and muscular, allows him to move with a swift, almost serpentine grace. Verdugo doesn’t charge head-on; instead, he stalks his prey silently, blending in with the shadows until he strikes with terrifying speed and strength.

Born from the twisted bioengineering of the Los Illuminados cult, Verdugo is a hybrid of human and parasite. His heightened senses allow him to track any movement, while his exoskeleton grants him formidable resistance to bullets. The biological fusion grants him strength and regenerative abilities far beyond any human’s, making him an extraordinary yet horrifying figure of genetic experimentation. This story doesn’t end with him, though; in the Separate Ways DLC, you’ll also encounter his brother, Pesanta the Black Robe, another haunting creation designed to protect the cult’s dark secrets.
