A corrupt political and economic elite vs an ambitious and hopeful youth. The total collapse of a state vs the perseverance of a people. Violence vs the desire for peace. Militias vs civil society. The destruction of the Beirut port vs the beauty of the city. Beirut is busy, dirty and ugly. But it can also be serene, calm and beautiful. Never have I seen a country with so much potential but so little chance for improvement. This film is an attempt to express these complicated emotions.
