If you’ve ever tried to connect an ERP system like Infor M3 with an eCommerce platform like Shopify, you know it’s no small feat. It’s not just about pushing data back and forth—it’s about building an integration that actually works for the business, down to the last detail: custom pricing, account restrictions, product catalogs, billing, shipping preferences, and more.
In this video, Ron from Clarity walks you through a real-world integration demo—a client project that brought together Shopify and Infor M3 using Clarity Connect, our enterprise-grade integration platform. This is more than a high-level overview; it’s a hands-on demo that shows exactly how accounts, contacts, and product catalogs sync seamlessly between the two systems.
Let’s face it—businesses can’t survive on disconnected systems anymore. According to Accenture, 83% of executives say siloed data prevents their organization from achieving its digital transformation goals. And when it comes to B2B eCommerce, Forrester predicts that U.S. B2B online sales will hit $3 trillion by 2027. If your ERP and eCommerce platform aren’t speaking the same language, you’re leaving efficiency, accuracy, and revenue on the table.
Integrating Shopify with Infor M3 unlocks powerful capabilities:
Automated account creation: No more manual entry or duplicated records.
Location-based purchasing rules: Ensure only authorized buyers can order.
Custom product catalogs: Each client can see only the products they’re allowed to purchase.
Tiered custom pricing: Different prices per account, synced automatically.
Real-time updates: Syncs run on schedules as frequent as every few minutes.
Ron kicks things off by adding a new account inside Infor M3. That account comes with a contact and a location restriction. Then, using Clarity Connect, he triggers the Test Customer Sync job. Instantly, the sync fires off, processes, and creates a new customer record in Shopify—Bagel Pub Franklin, complete with email, location assignment, billing, and shipping addresses.
Next, Ron demonstrates how custom product catalogs are handled. In Infor M3, his developer has assigned “assortments”—basically curated sets of products—into two catalogs for the Bagel Market account:
My Products – unique or special products just for this account.
All Products – the full product range available.
When the Test Assortment Sync runs, something powerful happens:
Each catalog is generated with custom prices for this account.
If a product doesn’t have pricing defined, it’s excluded (because no price = no order).
Shopify then reflects these catalogs, named uniquely per account (BM4332-MP Catalog, BM4332-AP Catalog).
Inside Shopify, Ron shows how the Bagel Market account went from “no catalogs” to having two, each populated with the exact right products and pricing. My Products shows three items, and All Products shows seventy—each with tailored pricing.
✅ Contact, Account & Location Sync: New accounts in Infor instantly flow into Shopify with all details intact.
✅ Custom Pricing: Every product can carry unique pricing per account, synced automatically.
✅ Catalog Control: Clients only see the products they’re allowed to buy, improving compliance and reducing errors.
✅ Fast, Reliable Syncs: Jobs run in seconds and can be scheduled from daily to near-real-time.
✅ Granular Logs: Each record creates its own sync log, so troubleshooting and re-syncs are easy.
This isn’t just integration—it’s workflow automation at scale.
Studies show that companies with connected systems grow revenue 30% faster (Deloitte). Why? Because automation reduces friction. Your sales reps don’t waste time entering data, your customers don’t get frustrated with outdated catalogs, and your finance team doesn’t wrestle with mismatched invoices.
Industry Statistics That Prove the Point
90% of B2B buyers say they would turn to a competitor if a supplier’s digital channel can’t keep up with their needs (Salesforce).
86% of organizations using ERP–eCommerce integrations report reduced manual errors and better data accuracy (Panorama Consulting).
79% of companies that invest in integration report higher customer satisfaction (McKinsey).
These numbers aren’t surprising. Customers want fast, accurate, self-service ordering. Integration is the backbone that makes it possible.
We’ve implemented integrations across industries—healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, SaaS, and more. If your business needs Shopify + Infor M3 or any other integration, we’ve likely done it.
