Stomach- and Liver-Heat
Clinical manifestations
Burning epigastric pain, irritability, propensity to outbursts of anger, sour regurgitation, dry mouth, thirst, bi er taste.
Tongue: Red, redder on the sides, yellow coating.
Pulse: Wiry and Rapid.

This condition is due to stagnant Liver-Qi turning into Fire after a long time and Fire invading the Stomach. The manifestations that point to Liver-Heat are propensity to anger, bi er taste and Red sides of the tongue.
This pa ttern is due to long-standing emotional problems, of the same type that lead to stagnation of Liver-Qi.
