MP Babu Owino calls for the impeachment of Governor Sakaja

Embakasi East Member of Parliament Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino is calling for the impeachment of Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja on account of gross misconduct and mismanagement of county coffers. While addressing members of the fourth estate Friday, the legislator cited the just released audit report for the year ending June 2023 by the Auditor general’s office that flagged glaring anomalies in asset acquisition, ghost workers, pending bills, suspicious bank accounts and unaccounted payments running into billions of shillings.
