Hollywood's Talking - Premiere (3/26/73)

Here's the premiere of "Hollywood's Talking", Geoff Edwards' debut game show that aired on CBS from March 23rd, 1973 to June 22nd of that year. While the show, a Jack Barry Production, was a flop, it is probably more well-known for what it was replaced by. The show that aired in its place once it was cancelled? A little show you may have heard of, "Match Game '73".

"Hollywood's Talking" certainly isn't a bad game show, but it's not an outstanding one either. Geoff is still pretty good, and it's fascinating to watch his daytime debut. Two other shows debuted on the same day as this one, and both shows would fare better. Those shows? "The $10,000 Pyramid", and the hit CBS soap opera "The Young and the Restless".
