Deliciously Moist Red Velvet Oreo Cake

Hey everyone,
I'm a huge fan of red velvet cake. I know that some people say it's just a chocolate cake or whatever, but no...it's really not. Red velvet cake does have a bit of cocoa powder in it, but not enough to actually make it a chocolate cake.
There's just a tiny hint of chocolate in it and that combined with the buttermilk and sour cream and everything else, just makes this cake taste so good.
Anyway, this is a scratch, red velvet cake with Oreos because I thought it would be fun to mix things up a bit. I think it's a nice twist on a classic cake.
It's really good with the Oreos, but you can leave them out if you like. Feel free to add your own personal touches to it.
