INCREDIBLE encounter with KILLER WHALES in Scotland! | ORCA WATCH 2024 - 27s Pod | June '24 - Part 2

PART 2 - This is the second and final part to one of our CLOSEST EVER orca encounters off mainland Scotland. After seeing a report of orca further up the coast we drove over 30 miles to try and get a glimpse only to find out it was part of on of our favourite pods of orca - the 27s pod! At the time of this recording the 27s pod was still split with this make up of the pod including bull 72, 153 & 73.

The encounter was timed perfectly for the orca watch 2024 event and we were lucky enough to follow the pod of 3 from St Johns point, through John o' Groats all the way down towards Noss Head Lighthouse with plenty of close encounters along the way.

Witness the finale of this day as we watched in awe as the three members of the 27s pod come super close in the search for seals as we were standing on Ackergill pier. The pod passed by only meters away in this incredible encounter!

There is something super special about seeing wild orca off the coast of mainland Scotland and we couldn't have asked for a better afternoon seeing these amazing animals.
