Originally titled "If they come in the morning", this song by Jack Warshaw (and performed here by Gary Óg) based on the poem "First they came..." by Pastor Martin Niemöller. The song is about the struggles of revolutionary movements (particularly republican in this lyrical interpretation done by Christie Moore) under oppression and repression of those who they oppose and fight against. Sometimes the extent of this repression is so severe it leaves no time for love in the morning, lest they want to be captured (or worse).
