At the peak of World War 2, Utah’s west desert was the home of Wendover Air Field. It was also the home to the Enola Gay, and where the US Army would build the worlds first Atomic Bomb.

The base was closed and largely abandoned in 1969 and now serves as a small commuter airport, museum, and even a movie set! How much of that history remains? Turns out, quite a bit! Take a look as Jon Smith explores the former home of the famous 509th Bombing Group from WWII.
