True Things director Harry Wootlif | BFI Q&A

Описание к видео True Things director Harry Wootlif | BFI Q&A

Director Harry Wootlif visits the BFI Southbank to talk her erotic psychological drama, which stars Ruth Wilson and Tom Burke.

Introvert Kate is living a stagnant life in a drab seaside town, working in a grim job centre – until one day a charismatic stranger sits at her desk and entices her into a passionate sexual encounter...

Kate soon becomes swept up in the dizzying excitement of what she thinks is love. Harry Wootliff’s second feature is a darker exploration of relationships than Only You (for which she won the BIFA for best debut director in 2019), while reaffirming her ability to draw out and capture magnetic chemistry from her lead performers.

Woman with a Movie Camera is powered by Jaguar and generously supported by Jane Stanton.
