Apple has released iOS 11.2.1 for iPhone and iPad. The iOS 11.2.1 update says it "fixes bugs including an issue that could disable remote access to shared users of the Home app."

Apple has also released tvOS 11.2.1, which 9to5Mac says is likely related to the same issue. Both updates are rolling out to iPhone, iPad and Apple TV users now.

Apple rolled out the iOS 11.2 update at about 4:30AM ET on a Saturday, which is different from its usual iOS release schedule. Generally, Apple pushes out iOS updates at 1PM ET on Tuesdays.

the iOS 11.2 release is believed to have been rushed in order to fix a December 2nd date bug that has been causing devices to crash repeatedly

if certain apps using local notifications were installed.

Both tvOS 11.2.1 and iOS 11.2.1 should be rolling out to all users now. Devices on beta versions may need to remove beta profiles then reboot to see the updates.
