How to use a light meter Sekonic 758 - explain it to me like I'm 5 years old

No Ansel Adams, no zone system ( well, kind of) just a simple way of doing metering for film photography. A 3 year old will understand how to use a light meter in incidental mode ( just bring the light meter in the light of your subject and press the measurement button) . I do not use incidental metering for landscape photos.
