Another fun day at Vancouver Airport BCIT Parking Lot racing toy cars! Had a lot of fun today, though the wind wound up a few times and tried to apply its force to carry away our canopies in the pits. Luckily the wind doesn't affect the cars on the track too much (maybe a teeny bit), but at the slow speeds we're travelling at it's hardly noticeable (he says as the car starts swaying on the straightaway). Competition was fierce, and the C Main leaders were tough to catch. I had a few bad corners and let them get away, but a lucky break on a back marker knocked one of them back with me and it was a race to the finish ... and the young sprite almost got me. Another lap and I wouldn't have been able to hold him off I'm sure (as he's actually a better driver than I). Bump to the B (as you'll see) and the competition is even more fierce. I didn't manage to get a copy of the results, so you'll have to track the positioning yourself. I think I finished 6th, but I may have finished in 8th (though I believe I was lapped by 2 cars).
