A user story describes a feature from the end-user perspective. In a user story, we describe who is this story for, what functionality is going to be delivered, and why it matters and what is the value from it. It's all about conveying the value of what's going to be created.

When we write user stories, they can be broad and that is ok! These user stories should be broken down into smaller and workable chunks by the team when it makes sense.

Splitting user stories is a an important part of the work done by an agile team, and many teams tend to leave their user stories way too big to be completed faster. Working on small user stories helps teams to get a fast feedback loop, as they can be completed faster, the product owner, stakeholders and customers can test and give feedback as soon as possible, which will help the team to easily improve and correct things quicker.
