Saturn 1B AS-206 (SL-2) Pad Operations

Описание к видео Saturn 1B AS-206 (SL-2) Pad Operations

Documented here are pad operations for the first manned launch to Skylab. Saturn 1B rockets served as ferries to Skylab, and were launched from launch complex 39 using the infrastructure created for the Saturn V. A "milkstool" was built to bring the Saturn 1B up to the appropriate levels for spacecraft servicing. Using complex 39 was deemed less expensive than maintaining complex 34 for Saturn 1B launches. The only manned Saturn 1B launched from complex 34 was the Apollo 7 mission.
