My Civic Type R EP3 gets some major upgrades with a Quaife LSD gearbox, Spoon 4 2 1 manifold and uprated engine and gearbox mounts.

Olly’s Honda Civic Type R EP3 needed a new gearbox and as it turns out, some new engine and gearbox mounts. The supplier of choice has to be GaragEp3 so check them out if you need any parts for you EP3. The gearbox going into the car has a Quaife Limited Slip Differential, the engine mounts were reinforced with Energy Suspension Polybush inserts and the gearbox mounts also got the polybushed treatment. Whilst the gearbox was out it seemed stupid not to change the clutch so an OEM Exedy clutch (supplied by Tegiwa) was fitted. To get to the gearbox you have to remove the front subframe, this made replacing the Exhaust Manifold with the Spoon 4-2-1 manifold much easier so on it went. Because the Spoon exhaust was designed for the JDM EP3 it meant that the front anti roll bar had to be replaced with a JDM ARB. After some time, Hass from GaragEP3 came back with another EP3 that had the part we needed to save the day.
