Multi-omics and big data in biomedicine and healthcare | Lecture

Advances in multi-omics approaches and technologies, such as genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics, along with more efficient use of big data, have begun to improve healthcare services in many ways including the development of individualized precision medicine. Nowadays, these technologies are clearly contributing to improvements and innovations that are now employed in many clinical settings. However, and because of the complexity of biological processes in the Human organism, no single tool among these, can capture a complete and comprehensive understanding of most human disorders.
Integrating several multi-omics and big data technologies is a better solution to provide a more complete understanding of Huanan biology and disease. In this presentation, we will shed some light about these technologies and approaches, and we will give some insights about the utility of these methods in the context of Human health and disease.
