Classic Ford Steering Box Installation

My stock bronco steering box has a lot of slop in it, so I’m replacing it for this new steering box from Toms Offroad.

To remove the steering box:

00:00 - How much play I have in my steering
01:15 - Disconnect the two steering fluid hoses from the top of the box. Be careful, this can get messy.
01:31 - Disconnect the steering shaft from the box.
02:06 - Pull the pitman arm. This wasn’t easy, so I disconnected the dragline from the pitman arm and left the pitman arm on the box.
04:10 - Remove the 3 bolts holding the box to the frame.
05:08 - Remove steering box from Bronco
05:38 - Connect the steering shaft
06:35 - Install new Steering box bolts
06:45 - How to center steering box shaft
09:45 - Attach pitman arm and draglink
11:12 - Connect power steering hoses
11:51 - With the Bronco running, fill steering fluid and fill to level
