When MotorSport Promoters visited the Germiston branch of Spring Centre, we got a firsthand look at one of South Africa’s most advanced and trusted spring manufacturing operations.

Spring Centre is a proudly South African company with four major branches — two in Germiston, one in Springs, and one in Pretoria — supplying over 100 spring companies across South Africa and the African continent. From these facilities, they manufacture and supply spring solutions locally and globally, exporting to America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

During our walk through the Germiston plant, we witnessed a fully integrated, one-stop operation — from raw materials to finished products — supported by high stock-holding capacity and a skilled workforce of over 250 people.

Spring Centre offers both standard and bespoke, tailor-made spring solutions across a wide range of industries. They are the only manufacturer in Africa capable of producing parabolic springs, and the only aftermarket manufacturer of automotive coil springs in South Africa. Their expertise also includes industrial compression springs, truck and trailer springs, taxis, 4x4s, classic cars, race cars, lifting and lowering kits, and custom applications.

They also provide white-labelling solutions for distributors and are the official South African agent for SAMPA, Europe’s largest suspension component manufacturer.

What stood out most during our visit was not just the scale and technology — but the people. Spring Centre places strong emphasis on staff retention, family values, and a healthy working environment, while offering the same level of service and support to both businesses and members of the public.
