Pocahontas State Park is Virginia's largest state park. Did you know that it started as a National Park? This large park offers hiking, biking, kayaking, a large aquatic center, camping, wildlife...so much more!

We stayed at Pocahontas State Park in our 33' motorhome and, bonus, we got to check out two different sites while we were there. Our advice to anyone wanting to camp here, book early!

What we love about Pocahontas State Park:
1. Large sites
2. Many pull-through sites
3. Miles and miles of trails
4. Lakes and an Aquatic Center
5. Scenic roads
6. Buddy sites! Three campsites for a group
7. Verizon works well

What we didn't love about Pocahontas State Park:
Nothing to add here. Book early. We had to move twice, but we didn't book early.

Heading toward the Appalachian Mountains next! Woohoo!
