This month we are reading the B2/Upper-Intermediate adaptation of Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier (2008 Penguin readers edition).

'Rebecca' is the story of this young woman who is going to fall in love with Maxim de Winter, this rich man much older than her. The first weeks of her married life in Monte Carlo are going to be her happiest because when Max takes her back to Manderley, in Cornwall, the ghost of Rebecca, Max’s first wife resurfaces. Published in 1938, it is Daphne du Maurier’s most popular novel to this day and a classic of English literature. The story has been translated in more than 24 languages across the world and never been out of print since its first publication.
