Washout, Detour, and BEARS? | Northern California Overlanding in Shasta-Trinity National Forest

We're Overlanding Northern California in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest in this episode. We start off by mud creek, where we are stopped before we even really get going by a total washout. Mount Shasta runoff caused the entire area to be destroyed. That along with a bunch of animal tracks cause us to re-think our plans a bit.

The next day we reset and detour around the washout and experience some incredible views of Mount Shasta as we circumnavigate the volcanic mountain. This is one of the most incredible mountain views we encountered thus far and despite the difficulties in finding a spot to camp, it was an awesome experience with views we'll never forget. Mount Shasta is amazingly beautiful.
