Instead of only showing his own exclusive pieces at the Salle Pleyel theatre, Rolland first invited on to the catwalk fashion conceived by 20 students from Paris’ elite schools ESMOD and Institut Français de la Mode. The collection, characterized by sumptuous designs, featured curvaceous silhouettes reminiscent of desert dunes. Rolland played with the notions of sensuality and comfort, infusing his creations with a sense of lightness. A long, hooded tunic in rosewood silk gazar, a Tuareg blue organza thobe embroidered with gold, and a striking long white wool gazar dress adorned with silver mosaics were among the highlights. Rolland curated a color palette that mirrored the transition from the start of the day in the desert to the night. Beginning with delicate pinks that echoed the hues of sunrise, the collection progressed into deeper tones, including almost black, navy blue, and a touch of gray.
