Albert Fennell joined the railways in 1947 and moved to the locomotive running department in 1949 at the age of 16. In this video film, made on 8th October 2017 at the Great Central Railway in Leicestershire, Albert drives for the last time on the day of his retirement from the locomotive footplate. His fireman for the day was Richard Brown and the locomotive is British Railways Standard Class 2MT, number 78018.
