Today, We are going to BIJLI MAHADEV ( Temple of falling lightnings)
One of my ever best visited peaceful temple.
Bijali mahadev is basically famous for the lightning thunder which falls on the shivalinga situated on the top of the mountain.
This place is situated in kullu and is a very peaceful place to do camping.But we should keep in our minds that beauty should not be destroyed.

Here is a story of BIJLI MAHADEV-
The story behind this temple is that the thunder lightning falls on the shivaling and detroys it into pecies and then the preist of the temple see a dream that where actually the broken pecies of shivlinga fall and he wents to each place to collect themm and rebuilds the shivalingam from broken pecies of the shivalingam with the help of butter,ghee,curd.
As the temp over there remains cool the ghee butter or curd never melts.
And now one can see the whole shivaling made of butter and ghee only.
So now whenever the lightning will fall on shivaling it will melt to some extent instead of getting broken and it could be lifted up again with the help of more butter or ghee.
Very peaceful and calm place
