Hyundai Kona HEV 2024 - Great Replacement for a... Golf? (ENG) - Test Drive and review

Hyundai Kona B-crossover debuted in 2017. The first generation was available with a wide range of powertrains - petrol, diesel and hybrid, as well as pure electric. Some engine versions were available with all-wheel drive - a feature that’s not always available in larger compact crossovers these days, and in the b-crossover segment it’s almost unheard of.

The second generation Hyundai Kona launched in 2023 and is available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, with manual or automatic transmission, with petrol engine, hybrid or electric powertrain. Hyundai says the Kona was designed first as an EV, and only later adapted to other powertrains.
