The 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS came from the factory with a theoretical top speed of 211 mph. This 991 GT2 RS marks the 4th generation of the GT2 platform since the original Porsche 911 GT2 which was a 993 and initially built in order to meet the stringent requirement of the GT2 Racing Class. The 993 featured a 3.6L twin turbo flat six engine that produced 444 hp and 432 lb-ft of torque. The top speed of the original Porsche 911 GT2 was said to be 187 mph.
