The Caynton Caves aka The Templar Caves Beneath Caynton Hall, Shifnal In Shropshire 2020

The Templar caves date back around 700 years, the caynton caves were supposedly carved by followers of the knights Templar order. A religious order from the crusades.

From what I hear after being pressured by kings Pope Clement the fifth. The Templar’s were disbanded in 1312 but went on the run surviving until around 700 years although many believe they still exist as a secret society. This leads to the other info I’ve heard about it.

So apparently the former owners of caynton hall way back when dug the caves in order to let druids practice their ceremonies in peace.

I find this one harder to believe given that during the time persecution for those practitioners would have been higher so the owners of caynton hall, probably some lord and lady of somewhat would be putting themselves at jeopardy. So I’m more inclined to believe the Templar story especially with the sword being found there 30 years back being linked to the Templar order.
