Hornby class 60 with super detail and DCC Sound.

This loco originally started out as 60007 but has been re-numberd to 60008 and given the prototypical name plates of "Gypsum Queen II" with the British Gypum plaques.

Zimo DCC sound chip fitted by myself with a bass reflex speaker in the "clean air/radiator room" with the roof grills removed to allow the plastic to be cut away below them and then the roof grills refitted to allow the round to be released. The only downside to that is the brass grills are pretty thin and the securing tabs can snap off easily as I have found out!

Fitment of the speaker involved moving the main PCB back approximately 6mm to allow the speaker to be fitted.

Testing here after fitting all the above and the CV's need some tweaking to allow it to perform the way I want but out of the box it's pretty good!

Before anyone says "you will damage this and that bla bla la without a rolling road and doing that" - Yes, I m quite aware but with this loco being a test bed for future projects and the testing for short period of time, no damage is likely to occur.
