STEAMED UBE CONDENSED MILK CAKE | Ube Sponge Cake + Ganache Recipe Without Oven

🍠UBE (PURPLE YAM)
Steamed Ube Condensed Milk Cake
Make Soft & spongy yummy ube cake without oven.

✔️Cake
1 can [300 ml] Ube Condensed Milk (Alaska)
1/4 cup [60 ml] melted butter
3 whole eggs (large)
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup [128 grams] all purpose flour]

✔️Ganache
1 cup [240 ml] evap milk or fresh milk
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp [25 grams] granulated sugar
1 & 1/2 tbsp liquid ube flavor (or ube powder)
1 tbsp butter

✴️If there is no available ube flavored condensed milk, use plain condensed milk + approx. 1-2 tbsp or as desired amount of liquid/powder ube flavoring

✴️ The Ube condensed milk has a very strong sweet ube flavor so the cake itself is sweet , so I did not use condensed milk for the ganache to prevent the cake from being excessively sweet. For those who wish to reduce further the sweetness of the cake, may reduce 1/4 - 1/3 cup of the ube condensed milk.
