BATH SKYLINE PARKRUN REVIEW Event

BATH SKYLINE PARKRUN! A stunning parkrun within Claverton Down National Trust park! Join me as I provide an in-depth review of the Bath Skyline parkrun experience. This is a multi-terrain course through beautiful woodland and fields which contains a challenging uphill flight of 37 steps. The course starts and finishes on Claverton Down and the 5km course starts with a 400 metre stretch of the field before joining a stone path. From here the path takes you on a 700-metre slight descent towards Freefields and turns right around the rugby pitch. The path drops down a stony path which can be slippery when wet to join a balcony path which provides fantastic views across the city. From here the path goes up 37 woodland steps and around a field before rejoining the stone path back down towards Freefields. This time the course splits to the left through Fairy woods. This is largely flat and approximately 1km through woodland trails. The course then joins a path up to potato field which can be very muddy. From here there is a short path before you re-enter the starting field this time finishing straight down the left-hand side. Unfortunately Buggys/prams are not allowed and there is no toilet near the start, however, dogs are allowed. As the route is on a mixture of terrains, trail shoes recommended, however, in the summer months when it is very dry road shoes are fine. It is a busy parkrun with usually around 294 attendees, therefore, you may get caught up in the bottle necks, however, with the steps it is not the best parkrun for a PB! A nice scenery for a parkrun with the view of Bath city in the background and a great atmosphere too! This is the 28th parkrun I have recorded of which you can find a playlist of them on my channel!

I will be doing parkruns all over the UK and rest of the world! Every Saturday I take part in a 5K run trying my hardest to get under 20 mins. Bath Skyline Parkrun is a parkrun towards the South East of Bath. It is a great run to tick off the "B" on the alphabeteer challenge. Let me know if you have ever completed the course.
