Here I demonstrate the external Volume and Media control that I developed for my C5 Corvette. This adds a multi-function knob to the stock traction control plate, and behaves like steering wheel controls (which the C5 lacks).

This can also offer a quick and easy way to add a physical volume knob for stereos/head units which lack one.

The particular Joying head unit shown here doesn't have any physical buttons and that was a catalyst for me to begin this project.

Parts used:
Arudino Nano (knock-off)
Bourns PEC16-4015F-S0012 rotary encoder
Push-button switch
Tiny 12V - 5V DC switching regulator
Resistors
3D-printed knob
