This video features an improvised performance using the Superior Drummer 3 core library along with a customized mix/configuration within Superior Drummer 3.

The mix was created from scratch using the Premier Genista kit with some additional kick and snare stacks using the built in effects, routing and sound design elements within Superior Drummer 3, with the addition of the Drum Enhancer Mastering EZmix 2 preset.

The track in this video is “Senior Pastor Pocket” from Black Suit Music. I first recorded the improvised drum performance (tempo 125) and then chopped up this track to add some musical elements to fit my performance. I supplemented the track with a loop I created within Superior Drummer 3 using the core library electronic sounds.

There’s a lot of chops in this video and that was intentional to showcase the nuances you can create with Superior Drummer 3 and the Jobeky e-drums and cymbals.

The performance MIDI was recorded and mixed within Superior Drummer 3. The MIDI itself was recorded directly into Superior Drummer 3 using a Roland TD-30 drum module and Jobeky electronic drums and cymbals.

I also use the Porter & Davies tactile monitoring system. The Porter & Davies BC Gigster is used for the DrumAngle studio configuration and the Porter & Davies BC2 is used for live performance and practice setups.
