Synopsis::
Joydev is a creative representation of the life and works of the great religious poet Joydev, from West Bengal, India. It portrays how Joydev was inspired by Radha and Krishna, how he went through all troubles, pains and perils to devote his whole life to the praise of God. The movie shows several of his miracles that have been said to have actually been performed, in front of crowds and royal courts. The episode at the royal court, where Joydev sings with the musical powers of divinity to make a barren tree re-grow its leaves back, is a well known story in Bengal and has much religious importance. The movie shows all painful trials that he has to face to stay true to the path of God and goodness, and he does so with much grace and reverence. The story of Joydev is shown in full truth, and so are the supporting characters of Parashar, Padma, and Bimala, who do all in their capacity to help and preserve the touch of destiny that Joydev holds.
