Woses was formed around 2005 in South East England. After having played drums for many years in several projects including Speirling, Ethernal, and Portent, Mark Capp became more interested in the guitar and the process of song writing.

Woses makes Black Metal with a progressive/experimental edge. Influences include Abigor, Absu, Arcturus, Burzum, Darkthrone, Emperor, (early - mid) Enslaved, Gorgoroth, Hoth, Korovakill, Midnight Odyssey, Sigh, (early) Satyricon, Thorns, Ulver, Vargrav, and Windir.

Panspermia is the debut album from Woses. Material for this release slowly began taking shape from 2005 onwards until being put on hold. In early 2020 the motive and desire to bring Woses to light increased. The earlier material was expanded and improved, along with members enlisted to bring out the most in the ideas. Krista Kalsi performed vocals, and Dan Capp bass along with Suspiria's creation of the front cover and story. Panspermia explores outer space through inner paths, a journey of self discovery based on archetypes of the Tarot.
