Love Is All Around - Troggs Acoustic Guitar Cover - The Escalators

Yesterday evening, John Mitchell, Tony Rushworth and I ('The Escalators') linked up with The Turlock Sunshine Strummers (a ukulele/guitar group/club) in the USA via Zoom from my home in Yorkshire, England. We performed a set of 'British Invasion' songs so participants could strum and sing along with us. Here's one of the songs we played -- recorded on a camcorder positioned to the side of the Zoom webcam.
For those who don't know, the 'British Invasion' is what Americans term the period roughly from 1963 to 1967 when a number of bands and singers from the UK achieved success in the US music charts and filled stadiums and other venues around the country. This invasion was spearheaded by The Beatles.
The Troggs released this song in 1967. It was written by the band's lead singer, Reg Presley. You might also know this song from the covers by Wet Wet Wet (it was a massive hit for them in 1994) and REM (who played the song during their 1991 MTV 'Unplugged' show).
