Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato introduced Joe Jonas to marijuana!
And that is not the only bombshell that Joe drops in the newest issue of New York Magazine. Joe wrote a very candid essay called Joe Jonas: Mu Life As a Jonas Brother -- and he had a lot to share.
He opened up about his past romantic relationships -- which include Ashley Greene, Demi Lovato and even his fans. While the band was known for wearing purity rings, Joe said that it was never actually the band's intention to be the poster-boys for abstinence before marriage. He said QUOTE: "I lost my virginity when I was 20. I did other stuff before then, but I was sexually active at 20. I'm glad I waited for the right person, because you look back and you go, 'That girl was bats--t crazy. I'm glad I didn't go there.'"
Of course Joe began dating Ashley when he was 20 -- but he doesn't say if she was actually the one he took the next step with or not. Joe also detailed his romance with Demi, although he was not happy in the relationship at the time, he felt he had a "brand to protect." He added: "I really got to know her and got to see the ins and outs of what she was struggling with, like drug abuse. I felt like I needed to take care of her, but at the same time I was living a lie, because I wasn't happy but felt like I had to stay in it for her."
Joe also revealed he smoked weed for the first time with Demi -- and their other Disney pal, Miley. He said they peer pressured him into getting high, and that he was only 17 or 18 at the time -- which by the way, means they were only 14 or 15. He added: "They kept saying, 'Try it! Try it!' so I gave it a shot, and it was all right... I don't even smoke weed that often anymore."
The essay also documents his thoughts on Disney, he says he felt like the scripts for their television show were "terrible" -- and also disclosed information about Vanessa Hudgens nude photo scandal a few years back -- claiming that Vanessa had to be in the office for a whole day on lock down.

A lot of people seem upset that Joe seemingly threw his friends under the bus for the story, while a ton of others are really happy and proud of Joe for being so honest about his life. What do you think? Did he say too much -- or are you happy to hear the truth?
