As part of the Real World Co-design Platform, DesignSingapore Council collaborated with SG Enable to bring together four design programme partners, Special Education (SPED) schools, social service agencies and mainstream schools. Together, they tackled real-world challenges – from creating safe and enjoyable play experiences for persons with visual impairment, to designing inclusive ways to connect with persons with autism, intellectual disabilities and hearing impairment.

Through this programme, participants experienced how design can break down barriers, foster meaningful connection and build a society where everyone belongs.

Organised by DesignSingapore Council, the Real World Co-design Platform is a programme that brings together students, educators, and parents to engage in real-world problem-solving through a design-led, creative thinking experience guided by design facilitators. It is part of the Learning by Design initiative, which fosters a community of educators, parents, and industry partners to support students in preparing for the future of life, work, and play.
