DESCRIPTIVE NARRATIVE
This segment has many native Australian land animals, some water animals, and birds. Warrawong Earth Sanctuary has several kilometres of pathways packed into a small, densely animal populated, fenced compound. It used to be grassy farming fields, before landscaping and re-vegetation. There are patches of savannah, woodland, wetland, waterway, rainforest, and bushland, where you can walk past wild animals only metres away. Trees, Gum Trees, Shrubs, Grasses, Flowers, Ferns, Moss, Lawns, Reeds, Rushes, and Sedges grow profusely on the whole block. Kangaroos, Euros, wallabies, and other hopping marsupials small and large abound. Ring Tailed Possums sleep in Fern tree tops, while small animals scurry through the leaf litter and fallen trees. Fresh water turtles and waterfowl sun themselves on the dams, while platypus make bubble curtains, and forage for benthic crustacea on the dam bottom, before swimming to their underwater den. Dozens of species of birds have taken up residence in the sanctuary, calling each other, flying through the canopy chasing Insects, and walking around foraging. See Cape Barren Geese, Goslings, Ducks, Ducklings, Water Birds, Water Fowl, Wrens, Crows, Parrots, and Magpies walk, paddle, and fly about. We follow the Walking Trails, and Boardwalks, looking at Artificial Wetlands, Reflections in Waterholes from Viewing Platforms, and little Furry critters while listening to Frog Calls, and bird calls. Other things seen are: a Native Bee on flowers, bird Silhouette, and Night Vision of animals in Low Light. By Cyber Holidays, Australia: www.cyberholidays.com.au
